MTF Groups
The MTF groups address the complex needs and multiple concerns of people who identify as transgendered.
One does not need to be living full-time and can identify anywhere on the Gender Continuum. All groups are intended to help participants explore their needs and options in a safe, caring and nonjudgmental environment. There is no pressure from group members or facilitator as to presentation, dress or progress towards any particular goal.
MTF group issues often explored include:
- sorting through your hopes and fears
- relationships
- sexuality and intimacy
- assertiveness and communication skills
- healing painful memories
- losses
- dealing with family
- the work environment
- TG resources
- avoiding isolation
Because the work we do with one another is meaningful, we ask that members attend on a regular basis.
